2. Students perform better academically - less drop out rates, stronger social skills and more motivation to learn. Arts is the “A” in S.T.E.A.M, contributing to S.T.E.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math). 

3. Foster community engagement - facilitate intercultural understanding and building relationships. 

4. Help communities prosper - residents and businesses see lower youth crimes in their communities. 

5. College statistics - show that disadvantaged students struggling with studies often find a connection with the arts. In the arts students explore, analyze, critique and discuss different scenarios, aiding them in other subjects of learning. 

6. Helps put people to work - by investing in the arts, the public sector is fostering a skill work force of occupations, that contribute to the economic productivity. 

7. Artists - are creators, teachers, and entrepreneurs that give back to the community through instruction, art works and job creation.
